“For Sale" Boards

Agents will be keen to have a “For Sale” board in your front garden.

Agents obviously want to advertise their name wherever possible and there is no doubt that a “Sold” Board is their best advertisement.

There is no doubting that a “For Sale” board does assist in the search for a buyer. Why?

  • Advertising your home “For Sale” 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even when the estate agent is closed
  • They do not discriminate - whoever looks at the board reads the same message.
  • Neighbours, tradesman and others have a habit of telling others that might be interested.
  • Buyers do tour a broad area, often just cruising around looking for boards, even at the end of cul-de-sacs!
  • If someone wants to look at the inside, the chances are they will have already decided that they like the outside.

I do not want a board !

One of the most common reasons for not having a For Sale board is the reluctance by some sellers to tell their neighbours that they are on the market. In reality, it takes no time for the neighbours to spot the advertisement in the local newspaper or notice the increased activity around the house - whether it is the visits of the agents themselves, buyers cruising past before they view or buyers who actually look around.
