How to Choose?
Consider the following when choosing an agent:-
-
Reputation - ask friends and neighbours for their experiences.
-
The biggest is not always the best, and the smallest may not be able to provide you with the coverage you need unless they are members of a national network. Remember, you need to make sure that your property is seen by as wide an audience as possible.
-
You need to be convinced that the agent will be trying to get you the best price possible. If they are good at justifying and persuading you about their fee, the chances are they will be better at getting you what you want.
-
No agent is obliged to have any qualifications. Professionally qualified members of the NAEA or RICS will all abide by a code of conduct. There is also an Ombudsman Scheme for estate agents. So to avoid nasty surprises only trust a professionally qualified estate agent.
